Glitter Strike - Ashish Spring/Summer 2016

Sparkle-Sparkle-Sparkle....Mama Mia!! Ashish is my soul brother from another mother! Have you guys seen Ashish's S/S 2016 collection at LFW? its absolutely gorgeous and spectacular!!! totally dripping in glitter it was a Colourful, bubbly and sequin feasting collection, a celebration of Fashion. Ashish sure knows how to outshine.
Models looked like 90's high school queens, in loose, slouchy silhouettes, sequin slips, baby doll dresses sliding down the runway on skateboards made the opening more grandeur. It was like a rainbow of sequins rendered on most of the collections. Heart cut outs, frayed denims, fringe detailing giving us the 70's vibe. Sheer layers and casual fits and oh even massive bows at the back of the denim ( absolutely adorable!)
The collection ran from a sporty street style to a shiny evening club wear. Everything so sparkly from the head to the toe. Sparkly trainers with bucket hats. Loved them random sparkly makeup from the hair to the face.
Now lets all wait for winter to pass!!!!!

this is totally a QUEEN! who doesn't love a cape!! its denim and its embellished!!!!

Namaskara

Merry December 1!
This year i have been so dormant on my blog and id like to apologise.
This is a very late update of an old project i worked on, but i guess it's never too late to get back on track again.
Namaskara- was a collection i created giving a little Indian twist with a modern take. DIY crop tops and handwoven skirts. we had the photoshoot on a sunny spring day in this beautiful park in Milan.
Below are my favourite images from the shoot , i hope you like it too ^_^

Illi Pamunkey : Tribal exposed

Hello Peaches!!
Remember my last post --> sneek-peek-to-illi-pocahontas
here is it finally!! As much as i enjoyed creating this i hope you love it too and get inspired ^_^

"Illi" means a young girl in sumi tribe of Nagaland and Pamukey was the original name of Pocahontas. Inspired by the Naga and the native Virginia Indian tribe the overall collection has been created to promote tribal wear. And since Naga women don't have our traditional Jackets or coats as such as the men does, here i've helped to bring a traditional yet contemporized traditional wear.
Every ensemble has been woven on a traditional loin loom to promote the traditional weaving and every motif made does not copy any existing motifs. Surface embellishment and embroidery all hand embroidered.

Every garment expresses strong emotions with sophisticated totem touches like the feathers and the fringes that quiver in the breeze. This Ready-to-wear collection tells the story of a new luxury warrior character.

Thank you :

DIY : Beaded Elphie!!!

Hullo peaches,
Wanna bring life to your plain cardigan?? Simple work...embellish it!

Meet Elphie (elphi) my lil Big be-jewelled elephant ^_^

I made elephant shape cutouts from the leftover cutouts of my denims that i had used for making shorts. after cutting out the shape i needed, i bleached it to give a faded look after which i stitched it on the cardigan and then beaded it up.

I took the inspiration from the decorated Indian elephants. They're always so prettily decorated, so bright, vibrant , playful and makes you so happy just by looking at it itself.

Fluorescent and gold beads gets a bold stand on a grey background for a stunning shoulder.

Hope you all love it and you could try making like this one, all you need is just a little patience and love to work.
Get inspired and stay Blessed.
Love,
Toli x x x

DIY : pink collar shirt

Hey ho!
today i want to show you something i made. I bought a plain pink collar shirt last week and to prep it up i worked on some surface embellishment around the edges of the collar that has an Indian kiss to it. i used my broken earring as a huge leaf motif and along with it i've used small pearls, golden flower sequins and pink, silver and gold beads.
You could prep yourself up, this shirt along with a pastel shade high waist-ed skirt or trousers or even shorts. This would be perfect for a summer lawn party or even for a lunch out with your friends. Try it yourself, its easy and very pretty when done.
